The Doghouse Barks Up the Right Tree With Media

News of the launch of our new concept – The Doghouse – has caught the attention of media.

Edinburgh Reporter ran a piece online and in its February 2025 print edition under the headline ‘Doghouse Delves Into Deliver’.

The story told how Edinburgh street food specialist Belmonte Catering boss Michael
Notarangelo had come up with a clever solution to utilise spare capacity at its Pronto Pizza shop in Portobello by creating a ‘dark kitchen’ for The Doghouse operation.

Deadline News also featured the news in its story , outlining how The Doghouse is to
offer gourmet burgers and hotdogs, loaded fries and deep-fried bons and more available exclusively through Deliveroo.

The story – under the headline Edinburgh street food boss launches new endeavour for fast-growing food empire – told how The Doghouse is the latest concept to be added to Scottish street food favourite Belmonte Catering’s portfolio.

The Doghouse is also available for hire for events and functions anyone looking for a
street food operation in Scotland.

Michael added that the menu items are all freshly prepared, using products and
ingredients from local suppliers.

Belmonte Catering – named after the Italian village where Michael’s family originate
from – currently has four concepts: Rollys Ice Cream, the first in Scotland to serve unique ice cream ‘rolls’; Dog n Bon/The Doghouse, which specialises in gourmet hot dogs and loaded fries; StikWaffle, a hot dessert concept; as well as Pronto Pizza.
