Something Special From Pronto
Pronto, your favourite Edinburgh authentic pizzeria and Edinburgh pizza and
street food catering operation, is always looking to make your visit different
and remarkable – and that’s even more the case now as we’ve launched a
range of pizza ‘specials’.
The one-off pizzas are inspired by Pronto’s constant desire to give customers
the true taste of a Neopolitan pizza – whether that’s centred on seasonality or
to perhaps sample new, imported Italian toppings.
The range was launched with Toscana 2.0 – a revised version of our ever-
popular Toscana pizza. This featured our hand-stretched signature dough
topped with sugo, Tuscan fennel sausage, friarelle (Italian greens from
Campania – also known as cime di rapa or broccoletti) and smoked provola
cheese.
The second special is Zucca. Launched with a special nod to Hallowe’en, this
pizza featured roasted pumpkin, pancetta, goats cheese, caramelised onions
and fried sage leaves.
Pronto owner Michael Notarangelo said while their current menu is a clear
winner, he wanted customers to experience the chance of trying a new pizza.
He said: “Our menu is full of stand-out favourites, as well as few classic
options that you find in Italy, but we felt it would be good to help customers to
try some of the more unknown pizzas they’d find in the best pizzerias in
Naples.
“For this, we want to add a special that perhaps showcases an ingredient that
maybe unusual, or reflects the season, or a specific anniversary or event.
“Whatever the pizza however, we’ll always ensure we source the best
possible ingredients direct from Italy – and as always it will come with our
signature dough.
“Our first two specials have been well received – and we’d be happy to hear
ideas or options from customers for other ideas that they may have.
“The aim is to introduce a new special as often as possible. So always do look
to check our menu online and on Deliveroo to see what the latest special is.”
Michael added that they would also be happy to hear special requests from
people and businesses booking Pronto for outside catering, large orders or
events.
